At some point you have to be comfortable with criticism…

At some point you have to be comfortable with criticism…

Or tune it out.

Leave it behind.

Use it as bulletin board material.

Accept that not everyone is going to like you, much less accept you.

Because, truth be told, the world is going to criticize you.

People will form opinions about you; say unkind and untruthful things about you.

They’ll hurt your feelings and leave you out.

Dare to go after your dreams, and they’ll doubt you, question you, and bring you down- if you let them.

Yet, most of those people are sitting around criticizing themselves as much as they’re criticizing you. The feelings of fear and insecurity they’re projecting onto you are a reflection of the world in which they live.

They’re wishing they shoulda-coulda-woulda gotten out there and done what you’re doing. Deep down, they’re just like the rest of us. We’re all trying to find the courage to live the life we want to be living.

And in the same world made up of people who will criticize you for going after your dreams are the dreamers, the believers, the encouragers, the supporters, the cheerleaders and enthusiasts, the coaches and mentors, and the downright happy, positive people who want to see you succeed.

Do yourself a favor: surround yourself with those people. It takes a team to succeed. They will help you. Offer those who criticize you a silent blessing- they need it- and be on your way. You haven’t got the time to be sucked into their world. You have a life to live.

Dear Reader,

Keep following your heart, even when others criticize you. Only you know what is right for you. We’ve all dealt with people who have doubted us. Find the people who believe in you.

As for me? I believe you can do anything!

All the best,

Jennifer
